QuizBreak ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is an educational Android application developed by iSpin. The App is designed to help children practise mathematics and reading comprehension through timed quiz sessions managed by a parent or guardian.

Our package identifier on Google Play is com.ispin.quizbreak. Questions about this policy can be directed to us at the contact address in Section 10.

This policy applies to all users of QuizBreak, including children under the age of 13. The App is intended to be set up and supervised by a parent or guardian ("Parent"). All account configuration is performed by the Parent through a password-protected settings area.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

We collect no personal information. Specifically:

• We do not ask for or store a child's real name, age, email address, photo, or any other personally identifiable information.
• The "profile name" entered in the App is a display label chosen by the Parent (e.g. a first name or nickname). It is stored only on the device using Android SharedPreferences and is never transmitted to any server.
• Quiz scores, module progress, session statistics, and the parent password are all stored locally on the device only.
• We do not use cookies, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or any third-party tracking libraries.

The App requests the INTERNET permission for one purpose only:

• Google Play Billing (Pro upgrade): When a Parent purchases the QuizBreak Pro upgrade, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We receive only a purchase token confirming a successful transaction. We never see payment card details, billing addresses, or Google account information. Google's practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

All quiz content — including Reading Comprehension passages — is bundled inside the app and works fully offline. The App makes no other network requests under any circumstances.

The following data is stored exclusively in Android SharedPreferences on your device and is never uploaded:

• Profile display names and quiz settings (interval, enabled modules, question counts)
• Daily quiz statistics (correct/incorrect counts per module)
• Parent password (stored as plain text — choose a password you don't use elsewhere)
• Pro unlock status (a boolean flag set after a verified Google Play purchase)

This data is automatically deleted when the App is uninstalled. You can also clear it at any time via Android Settings → Apps → QuizBreak → Clear Data.

• INTERNET — Required for Reading Comprehension (AI content) and Google Play Billing only.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE — Keeps the quiz timer running in the background.
• WAKE_LOCK — Wakes the screen when a scheduled quiz begins.
• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW — Allows the quiz to appear over the lock screen.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — Restarts the quiz timer automatically after the device reboots.

None of these permissions are used to collect, transmit, or share personal data.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with any third party for any purpose. The only third-party interaction is:

• Google Play Billing — processes Pro upgrade payments. We receive only a purchase confirmation token. We have no visibility into payment details or Google account information.

We have no advertising partners, no analytics providers, and no data brokers.

QuizBreak is designed for use by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. In compliance with COPPA:

• We do not collect personal information from children under 13.
• All configuration requiring any input (profile name, password, module selection) is gated behind a parent password.
• We do not display behavioural advertising to any user.
• We do not build profiles on children or track their activity across other apps or websites.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 10 and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and post the revised policy at the same URL. We encourage Parents to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Material changes that affect how children's information is handled will be communicated via an in-app notice.
